Horticulture
A horticultural lab in our college serves as a vital hub for students and researchers alike, fostering a dynamic learning environment. Equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, the lab provides hands-on experiences in plant cultivation (Fruits, Vegetables, Flowers), plant multiplication, Garden tools, Horticulture breeding and Insect- pest management etc. Students benefit from practical skills development, gaining a deep understanding of horticultural techniques that extends beyond theoretical knowledge. The lab also facilitates cutting-edge research, offering a platform for exploring innovative agricultural practices, crop improvement, and sustainable cultivation methods. This immersive learning environment not only enhances academic curricula but also encourages collaborative research initiatives, preparing students for impactful contributions to the ever-evolving field of horticulture. Emphasizing the lab’s role in advancing knowledge and practical expertise would undoubtedly attract prospective students and underscore the university’s commitment to excellence in agricultural sciences.
Plant Pathology
Plant Pathology is a important branch of Agriculture Sciences. that’s deal with disease symptoms, disease cycle and its management.
In Plant Pathology laboratory different types of activities carried out like preparation of culture media of different organism likes bacteria and fungi.
Identification of diseases of field and Horticulture crops. preservation of different disease samples like bacteria, virus and fungi.
Identification of different laboratory instrument like autoclave, laminar air flow, microscope, Hot air oven and other minor instrument in laboratory.
Agronomy
Agronomy is the leading branch of agriculture which deals with the principle and practices of crop production and soil management. The Agronomy lab is a place which consist of various equipment, herbarium and advanced instruments to handle the practical sessions pertaining to undergraduate course. The main objective of Agronomy laboratory is teaching and research on field crops and related aspects. The agronomy lab is one of the well-equipped lab in our college which provides the vital facilities to students such as acquaintance with seeds of different field crops, common manures and fertilizers, common weeds of the region and different instruments used in meteorological studies. The agronomy lab also consists of general instruments used for irrigation measurement and practice crop production. The instruments used for study of different soil properties like PH, EC are also facilitated in this lab. therefore, the Agronomy lab offers a Platform for exploring the innovative agricultural practices for sustainable crop production.
Soil Science
Soil science and Agriculture chemistry is the major branch of agriculture science which deals with the study of soil as a natural resource on the surface of Earth including soil formation classification and physical, chemical and biological properties of soil. Soil science laboratory is a place which provide facilities of soil Sampling and testing which involves various experimental methods for the determination, physical, chemical and biological properties of soil. The soil science Laboratories consist of various instrument which provide a vital opportunities for determining the different concentration of different nutrient and organic fraction. Such as organic carbon available nitrogen, available phosphorus, potassium etc. Measurement of soil bulk density particle density PH and electrical conductivity is also facilitated in this lab. The basic objective of soil testing program Is to give farmers and service leading to better and more economy use of fertilizers and better soil management practices for increasing agriculture production.
